ABOUT

CLUB 4690 IN DISTRICT 7090

who we are

We are a group of local citizens who have came together with the goal to do good in our community and help those around us in need.  Our Rotary Club's membership consists of members of all walks of life, race, religion, and gender.  As the fifth oldest club in Ontario, Club 4690 was formed in 1916 and officially chartered in 1917 by a group of men in the City .  Our small Club has since grown to a membership of close to 70 active members who all want to help better our community.

where we meet

The Rotary Club of Brantford meet's every Friday at 11:30am for lunch and fellowship.  Our club meets at the Brantford Golf and Country Club located at 60 Ava Rd. Brantford Ontario Canada.

what we do

Our Rotary Club's focus is to create, implement, maintain, and grow sustainable community projects that help improve the lives of those in need in our community.  Many of the fundraising events that we do on an annual basis go to support and raise money for children in need.  Through the work that we do we are able to provide children in this community, and their families, a better life.  Through raising money, to one on one interaction, our club's goal is to ensure that children in this community have the childhood and life that each deserves.

Our Club has four main fundraising initiatives that we do yearly but we have many other programs that are ongoing throughout the year that have a big impact on people's lives as well.  Our Club is committed to changing the world one person at a time and we truly believe in the motto of "Service Above Self".

where we service

Our Club's membership consists of people who live and work in and around Brant County.  All of our club's fundraising dollars stay in this local community where we can ensure that people in Brant County are directly benefited.  Much of our donated funds go to benefit such organizations as The Boys and Girls Club, Lansdowne Children's Centre, and the W. Ross Macdonald School to name a few.  We also support many other organizations and people in this community.  You can find out more about what we do by exploring the many parts of this website.

more about us

Our Rotary Club has the reputation of being one of the most active and successful clubs in our Rotary District. This reputation, of which we are very proud, has been gained by the "can, and will do" spirit of our club members. Our members are expected to participate, to the best of their ability, in club projects to accept and diligently perform duties reasonably requested of them.

The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

  • The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal business and community life;
  • The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

As PROUD Rotarians in this community, we promise each and every citizen of this City that we will continue to do good work in this community to help all of those around us.
