Cancellation of the Brantford Rotary Classic Run 2020

March 17, 2020

It is with deep regret that we have decided to cancel this year’s 38th Annual Rotary Brantford Classic Run.  We did not arrive at this decision easily, but in light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we feel this is the right decision for the health and safety of our club members, volunteers, and our community.  We are aware that other races have chosen to postpone and reschedule their events, however, as a very active Rotary club, we do not have another time in our fundraising calendar that wouldn’t adversely affect other events that are scheduled for later this year.

We will be issuing refunds for any participants who have already registered for the race, and we will be contacting all of our corporate sponsors and event partners as well to begin the process of returning sponsorships and cancelling services that were scheduled for Race Day weekend.

The Classic Run is our club’s longest running event, and we are saddened that we will not be proceeding this year.  We value the ongoing support of our community and we hope to see everyone return to the starting line in 2021.

Sincerely,
