BRANTFORD, ONTARIO 519-759-1313The Canadian Military Heritage museum, a vision by a dedicated group of veterans and military history enthusiasts became a reality in 1993. Today, the museum is housed in a spacious 13,000 sq. ft. building that preserves and displays artifacts pertaining to the military history of Canada and especially Brantford, including the 38th Dufferin Rifles, Dufferin Rifles of Canada, The 2nd, 10th, 25th and 2/10thDragoons, Dufferin and Haldimand Rifles of Canada up to our current regiment, The 56th Field Regiment. Kelly is using her experience in policing as an example for legislators of why we need to change; change who is in power, change how much power we give police chiefs, and change legislation to improve accountability, transparency and ethics. Kelly will be speaking about workplace ethics in general and what we can do as business leaders to be sure we are following ethical best practices. |

A little about our speaker Ron Robert. Ron is 81 & lives in London, Ontario. He is highly interested in politics. Ron worked as a journalist for two decades covering the British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan provincial legislatures before working the western desk for then-Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Ron was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2015. Ron is attending King’s University in London. |

Jim and Marjorie Dawson are from the Rotary Club of Norfolk Sunrise Jim Dawson is a retired professional engineer; Marjorie Dawson, also an engineer is a retired President of a pipeline company. They have developed three RI Global Grants: a water filter project in Honduras and two eye health Global Grants in India - one was completed in Dec 2018 and the Kanpur Vision centre project which is well under way. Jim and Marjorie have been working with the remote fly-in First Nation Pikangikum for over 6 years on a number of programs. Their work with the school has included fire safety and support for the music program and the outdoor education program where they have provided supplies such as musical instruments, prizes for the annual Battle of the Bands and outdoor equipment including snowshoes, canoe and camping equipment and they teach canoeing in June each year. Working with New Hope Bikes of Hamilton, they provided a bike repair trailer and this year were taking the ice road to Pikangikum taking mountain bikes, musical instruments, skates and winter boots as well as conducting a Basketball clinic while there. |
